Loring Park Art Festival website

As a small non-profit, the Loring Park Art Festival didn’t have a lot of resources, but what they did have was great content – beautiful images from the many artist that exhibit at their annual festival in downtown Minneapolis. We decided to capitalize on that by prominently featuring those images, both to illustrate website content and to provide visual interest throughout the site. But I didn’t stop at images; I added lots of easily-accessible content about the festival including transportation, food & entertainment, volunteers, advertising and more. Most significantly I built a database-driven back-end for the artists listings, so that the information could be easily updated and displayed in different useful formats (by artist’s location, medium, etc.).
